Cactus (cactus.org.za) is a lead-generation and referral platform operated by Leads Elite (Pty) Ltd, the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. Cactus is not an insurer, underwriter, financial service provider or claims administrator.

For any privacy question or request, email support@leadselite.co.za. If you need a named Information Officer or a postal address for a formal request, ask us and we will confirm the current details in writing.

Quiz enquiries: when you complete the embedded LeadsHook quiz, we collect the details you give, which usually include your name, phone number, email address and answers about your pet and your cover needs.

Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the reason for your enquiry and your message.

Technical information: ordinary website and log data such as IP address, browser and device information, referring page and pages viewed.

Campaign information: where campaign measurement is configured, information such as the ad or link that brought you to the site.

We do not ask for financial account details on this website.

To process and qualify your enquiry, to introduce you to OnePlan so a consultant can discuss pet-insurance options with you, to respond to contact-form messages, to keep the website secure and working, and to measure how our campaigns perform.

When you submit the quiz, you consent to Cactus processing your enquiry and passing it to OnePlan so that a OnePlan consultant may contact you about pet-insurance options. OnePlan then handles your information under its own privacy terms as the provider of any quote, policy, servicing and claims.

You can choose not to submit the quiz. You may also withdraw consent for future processing by emailing support@leadselite.co.za, subject to processing already lawfully completed and to information OnePlan holds under its own terms.

LeadsHook: the quiz on this site is embedded from LeadsHook, which collects your quiz answers and may set its own cookies or storage in order to run the quiz and record its submission.

Approximate location and weather: to show an approximate city, temperature, condition and date, the site makes a lookup using IPWho (IP-based approximate city) and Open-Meteo (weather for that approximate area). This does not request precise device location and does not identify your exact address. If either lookup fails, the site simply shows a general South Africa fallback.

Cookies and similar technologies: essential website functions and, where configured, campaign measurement may use cookies or similar storage. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, although the quiz may not work correctly if you block what it needs.

We use service providers to host the website, deliver email and run the quiz. Some of these providers process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer grounds permitted by POPIA, including your consent to the referral and the need to perform the service you asked for.

We keep enquiry and contact information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, and thereafter only where a legal duty, dispute, audit, security or record-keeping requirement applies. Technical logs are kept for shorter operational periods.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and unlawful processing. No online service can promise absolute security, so please only send us information you are comfortable sharing by email or web form.

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold, request access to it, request correction or deletion where the law allows, object to processing in the circumstances POPIA permits, and withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis we rely on.

If you receive electronic direct marketing from us, you may object or unsubscribe at any time using the mechanism in the message or by emailing support@leadselite.co.za. Marketing sent by OnePlan is governed by OnePlan's own terms and opt-out options.

Please raise any concern with us first at support@leadselite.co.za so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We may update this policy when our services, service providers or legal duties change. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available on this page.
